Animation progress

This was the first draft and blocking of our animatic to get a feel for after effects and how to make things move the way we want. We're both not super confident using it so we just did this to see what we could do from our learning in the labs.

This is about a weeks development on the animatic still unsure how to transition into the next part of the animation. Some edits also need to be smoothed out in the music and it's cuts.

Some more development and progress on our animatic the cuts are a bit smoother but I still need to work on the end card.

This is pretty close to the final animation a couple of hard edges on the circle bit just need to be smoothed out.
This is the final animation that we have submitted, we also did another variation which is attached below to include the use of the "rhythm lines" however we feel it looks messy and distracts from the movement and lifelike white blob that is the main feature of the animation.

We do however think it makes it hard to connect the two together so we want to create a short social media animation that will connect the two together bring the blob together with the line pattern.

Development of visual style

We've developed a basic digital storyboard for our new animation, which has changed since the interim. This starts off with a circle growing out of nothing, then bouncing around, pulsing, growing etc as the colours behind change with each main movement. Once the circle has grown to size it grows the black rectangular lines, which will individually move up and down to the music (we are considering using all 3 of Warren's songs that we have chosen). These lines will eventually turn into our logo, and the final slide will show the Bats 30th anniversary logo.

Interim 1

We received positive feedback in our interim on our logo, name and general visual concept. Our feedback for our animation was that our theme is rhythmic and abstract, and our animation should reflect this. We were shown video examples of really simple illustrations moving to sound and music, which we can take on board to show our life journey in a much more simple manner.

Website development

We quickly developed some home page concepts for our website on Illustrator, based on our first posters that were being designed at the sam...
